Advantage Aviation Technologies, Inc (AAT)   specializes in repairing and developing repairs for aviation components. AAT 's considerable expertise in the development and implementation of repair processes includes the following types of repairs: Weld repairs to exotic metals such as waspaloy, stellite 31, and titanium; plating repairs to items with corrosion and/or wear damage; material rebuild and machining repairs; armature and stator rewinding; hydraulic pump repairs; AC compressor repairs; and the overhaul of thrust reverser blocker doors for the CFM 56 engine and the IAE V- 2500 engine. The diverse experience of AAT's technical staff enables AAT to develop cost-effective repair procedures and to repair items that our customers have previously considered scrap.

Weld Repairs

Under the guidance of AAT 's welding engineer, who is a member of several American Welding Society code committees, AAT has succeeded in developing weld repairs to numerous items, previously considered non-repairable. Weld repairs developed and performed by AAT include: the combustion chamber exit duct seal ring, made of waspaloy, in the JT-15D engine; repairs to various titanium components such as tailpipes; and repairs to flow bodies and hydraulic tanks. All welding is performed by certified welders in accordance with MIL-STD-1595A, MIL-STD-2219, and FAA approved data.

Plating Repairs

AAT has developed and performs plating, honing, and grinding repairs on various items including: flow bodies, turbine wheels, shafts, and landing gear components such as shock tubes and manifolds. Plating repairs are performed, by factory trained personnel, in accordance with MIL-STD-865C.

Material Rebuild and Machining Repairs

AAT has successfully developed repairs to return items to service with base metal damage and/or corrosion. Examples of repairs to Thrust Reverser Blocker Doors / Shafts / Cams flow Bodies including:

• Thread restoration
• Rebuilding of mounting lugs
• Repair of base metal damage
• Repair of oversize housing bores for bushings
• Bonding repair of cracks
